Basket strainers are mainly composed of a connecting pipe, cylinder, filter basket, flange, flange cover, and fasteners. Installed on pipelines, they can remove larger solid impurities from the fluid, ensuring the normal operation of machinery and equipment (including compressors, pumps, etc.) and instruments, thus stabilizing the process and guaranteeing production.

Working principle

Basket strainers are small devices used to remove a small amount of solid particles from liquids. They protect compressors, pumps, instruments, and other equipment, ensuring their normal operation. When the fluid enters the filter barrel with a specific mesh size, impurities are blocked, and the clean filtrate is discharged from the filter outlet.

When cleaning is required, the removable filter barrel can be easily removed, cleaned, and reinstalled.
They are used in oil or other liquid pipelines to filter out debris. The filter hole area is 2-3 times larger than the pipe diameter area, far exceeding the filtration area of Y-type and T-type filters. Basket strainers are among the most precise filters. The filter mesh structure is different from other filter meshes, and because of its basket-like shape, it is called a basket strainer.
